---

Finishing Tutorial:

Print instructions:
1. The pattern is provided in its original size.
Make sure that “Print” settings have the size of the paper set as Letter. You can check it the following way: File - Print – find a Page Setup button - choose Letter.
1. Print page 2.
2. Measure the lengths of the control lines to ensure the pattern is the correct size.
3. Cut out Template.

Cutting fabric, general rules
1. Fold the fabric in half on grain, right side together.
2. Overlay the wrong side of fabric with the paper pattern of the toy.
3. Draw the pattern contour out with the fade-out marker (it should not fade out too fast).
4. Pin both parts of fabric together lengthwise the whole contour. Pins should lay perpendicular to the pattern lines.
5. Baste it along the contour. Remove the pins accordingly when the fabric layers are stitched together.

Sewing the toy
1. Use the 1-1.5mm seam length.
2. Mark the opening for turning. Leave it open while stitching. It is necessary to fix stitching at the beginning and at the end, sewing back and forth several times.
3. Stitch accurately over the contour of the figure, following all its curves. The speed of sewing should be the lowest possible.
4. All necessary fabric turnings have to be accomplished with the needle in the lowest position. This way the stitch line will be smooth and will stick to the contour outline.
5. Leave a 0.3-0.4cm seam allowance alongside the whole contour of the toy, and a 0.7cm seam allowance at the opening for turning.
6.  Cut out the future toy alongside the seam allowance line with the sharp thin scissors.

Preparation for turning-out
1. Remove the basting.
2. Notch at both sides of the opening for turning, leaving 1-2mm from the beginning and the end of the stitch. Be careful not to cut through stitches and not to go further.
3. Clip notches closely alongside the contour of stitching (2-3mm between notches), leaving 1.5mm between the cut and the stitch. The sharper the contour curve, the more notches needed, while the strait segments can be left without notching at all.
4. The seam allowance at the sharp and right angled segments of contour should be cut across, leaving 1-1.5mm between the cut and the angle.

Turning-out
I mostly use the tools that are at hand: flexible cocktail straw of big and medium diameter and the dull tip of the thinnest metal crochet hook.

Useful tips:
Insert the cocktail straw inside the toy via the opening for turning and move it to the most distant part of the toy up to the stitching line. Press on that point from the outside with the dull tip of the crochet hook, as if trying to put the fabric into the straw. Slowly move the straw to the opening for turning, still pressing the fabric between the straw and the hook. This segment of fabric will gradually come outside as well, so that you can take it with your fingers and turn out by pulling the fabric. In case the toy has several pointed segments simply repeat this for each one of them sequentially. It is preferable to move in one direction – clockwise or counter clockwise – but not chaotically.
1. Fold the front foot and the horizontal ear inside. Then turn the rabbit out starting from the vertial ear.
2. Once the toy is turned out, insert the dull tip of the crochet hook inside to carefully smooth all the curves, angles and turns of the stitching.
3. Fold the seam allowance inward at the opening for turning and baste it.

Filling
1. The toy should be filled (stuffed) gradually – starting with the most distant and pointed parts. The filler is being put inside with the help of the small anatomical (surgical) forceps (pressed between its legs).
2. Gradually stuff the toy moving closer to the opening.
3. Make sure the toy keeps its shape well and there are no folds in it. Then you can stitch the opening using invisible seam.
4. Steam the toy carefully in case it’s necessary.
5. Sew beads for eyes, embellish at your own taste and enjoy!

Приятного и красивого вам творчества!
